SCOTT SUPPORTS CLAN FUNDRAISING ROW TO FAROE ISLES

Tavish Scott has given his support to the following motion: S4M-00625 – That the Parliament commends a Shetland and Orkney rowing team on rowing to the neighbouring Faroe Islands from Aith in Shetland; notes that the 12 rowers from Shetland and six from Orkney are raising funds for CLAN Cancer Support, the cancer support charity that, among many other services, provides accommodation for islanders and their families who have to travel to Aberdeen for medical treatment, and congratulates the rowing team on its commitment to completing the 186 nautical miles to the Faroe Islands across the open Atlantic and the local construction firm, Tulloch Developments, for its sponsorship.
